Trisha Cupp, Principal
It is my pleasure to serve you as principal this year! This is my twenty-first year in education. Prior to becoming principal, I served as the Ferris Junior High Assistant Principal for 3 years. I also have 17 years of classroom teaching experience at various grade-levels. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) grades (K-8) as well as a Master’s of Education from Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches. In my pursuit of being a lifelong learner, I intend to be an example to students and teachers that we should never stop learning.
I am honored and blessed to be married and together we have 3 sons, 1 daughter, and 5 beautiful grand-babies. The expectations are the same for them as for your children, who I love as if they are my own. I am dedicated to providing our students with a learning environment that encourages collaboration, investigation, and innovation. It is our goal to prepare our students to become enthusiastic, curious lifelong learners. I want to see them grow and have the best opportunity to become whatever they choose.
Becky King, Assistant Principal
I am so excited to be here at Lee Longino Elementary as your assistant principal! I am looking forward to a great year.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arlington Baptist College and a Master of Education from Tennessee Temple University in Educational Leadership. This is beginning my 18th year in education. I have experience teaching reading, math, science and social studies at the middle school level. I have served as a math and science Instructional Coach at both the middle school and high school level and as an elementary Assistant Principal.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kevin, for 28 years. We have 2 children and a grandson.
My "why" is to serve the students, families and staff of Longino Elementary to contribute in developing strong relationships and grow our community of learners.
Samantha Mikula, Administrative Intern
It is with great excitement that I have the opportunity to serve as an Administrative Intern on Longino’s campus this year! I have earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at McMurry University, and I am completing my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership through Dallas Baptist University. Through this program, I am able to serve on campus while finishing my degree. Ferris ISD has been my home away from home for the past five years beginning at the Junior High teaching math, AVID, and journalism in addition to coaching at the junior high and high school level. While I loved my time there, I am thoroughly enjoying the start to year 6 at the elementary level.
My "why" is to serve the students, families and staff of Longino Elementary to contribute in developing strong relationships and grow our community of learners.
My goal is to help students find their “why” in whatever direction that may lead them. I have found my purpose in life serving as an educator, and it is my passion to help each student find their purpose well!
Kellie Callahan-Johnson, Counselor
Hello, my name is Kellie Callahan-Johnson and I am your School Counselor! I am looking forward to this new school year and building new relationships with this wonderful Longino community of students, parents, and faculty.
I graduated from Quartz Hill High School in the Antelope Valley in Southern California in 1993 where I participated in many clubs, cheerleading, and became a local representative of my community as Ms. Antelope Valley USA. This led me to compete in Ms. California USA pageant in 1995. I have always loved trying new things and trying out for the Amazing Race will certainly be an experience I will never forget.
I earned my Associates of Arts and Science in 1997 and finished with my Bachelors of Social Science from Chapman Christian University in 1999. In the beginning I was a para and a substitute teacher. I moved on to full time teaching in 2005. I was with Midlothian ISD for 17 years as a 7th grade and 8th grade History teacher. I was a district and campus mentor teacher, campus design team member, dance and cheer coach, and Social Studies department head.
I always knew I wanted to work with people and help others. It was no surprise to my family when I began working on my School Counseling degree. After 19 years in the classroom I graduated with my Masters in School Counseling from Lamar University. My long term goal is to complete my LPC and open my own therapy practice upon retiring from public education.
I have been married to my husband Russell for 11 years. Together we share four children: Hunter (24) Maddy (22), Jack (20), and Tanner (19). My husband retired from the Fort Worth Police Department after 30 years in 2018 and continues to train officers across the United States. I enjoy traveling, thrifting, decorating, teaching, learning new things, and spending time with my family and friends.
