My career in education began nearly twenty years ago and has taken me across two states both California and Texas. I taught at the secondary level both Texas State and U.S. History for 17 years while coaching both dance and cheerleading. I was a mentor teacher for ten years, a host teacher for two years to Texas Wesleyan University and Dallas Baptist University. I was a social studies department head for three years. I loved my time in the classroom working with both students and adults.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Science minoring in Criminology from Chapman University in Orange California and graduated in 1999. I am married and have four children. I returned in 2019 to earn my Masters in Counseling and graduated from Lamar University, Beaumont Texas. I have served students in Los Angeles ISD, Midlothian ISD, and I am now grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Ferris ISD family.
